Supporting individuals, families and communities with trauma-informed, healing-centred services…

We’re based in Tonbridge in Kent and there are many family and community services, activities and projects here we’re a part of. Our team are active in communities across Kent and Medway and we are connected with regional and national networks, too, so we get to learn about great work going on all over the country.
Some of our activities are highlighted below. If you are interested in participating or supporting, referring or replicating, do please contact us.

Angel Café

Community café with playspace

First, we’re a great café – so fresh coffee, delicious cakes and lunches, all with a special welcome– but we’ve all sorts of activities going on… We’re a ‘warm space’, there’s a‘chatty table’, story time and crafts for pre-schoolers, sign language, you name it. The idea is that while it is a friendly, safe, accessible place to meet, for anyone searching we hope you’ll also find relationship, connection and community.

Social Prescribing

Among our team are willing and approachable trusted adults who build positive, supportive relationships with community members. This light touch approach is appreciated by a wide range of people including those seeking support with mental health, who are lonely or isolated, or who have social needs which affect their well-being. Here, we can provide signposting to help connect people to community groups and statutory services.

Parent Coaching and Support

We parents love our children and want the best for them but sometimes being a parent or carer can be really hard.

With experienced parenting practitioners, parent coaches and group facilitators, we listen and understand the difficulties you face whatever the needs, background and circumstances of your children. And we work with you to help grow those healthy attachments so that you can work through life’s challenges together.

Parent-Child Attachment Play

Parent-Child Attachment Play (PCAP) is an innovative and empowering early help programme for parents and their children from 3 years. (For younger children we have the linked ‘Baby Bonding’ programme.) It’s a gentle play-based approach aimed at improving the attachment quality of the parent-child relationship. We deliver the programme with groups, 1:1 or through a home visiting model.

Education Inclusion Support

Building positive relationships with local schools and settings to promote and assist young people’s inclusion within the education system. We offer mentoring and emotional support to young people and whole families who are experiencing adversity, providing them a safe place to discuss fears, worries, behaviours and to explore how to navigate life’s challenges.

Therapy, Counselling and Coaching

Providing specialist 1:1 and small group therapies, our practitioners have in-depth Trauma Psychotherapy experience drawn from a broad range of evidence-based approaches. We offer face to face and online support to children, adolescents and adults; plus for colleagues from across the sector who serve them: supervision, consultation and coaching.

Information for parents, referrers and supporters

Some of our services are funded and free to attend but sometimes we charge although we keep it as affordable as we can. Thanks to our lovely supporters we often have bursary and subsidised places available. If you are in one of the communities we serve, we can usually offer a free telephone consultation. Contact us if you would like to find out more or if you would like to help a parent or family to receive our support.

Thank you so much!
